What H204 means
H204 is the GHS (Globally Harmonized System) hazard statement “Fire or projection hazard.” It belongs to the Explosive hazard class and appears in Section 2 of a Safety Data Sheet and on the product label when a substance or mixture meets the classification criteria for that class and category.
H204 is a lower-tier statement to which GHS assigns no pictogram or signal word on its own. It still communicates a real hazard and belongs on the SDS and label where the criteria are met.
